In 2015 a group of ladies from Union Missionary Baptist Church were inspired by the Sewing 4 Souls ministry that originated in Raleigh County WV.

This group of women meet regularly to sew items for those in need.

Some of the items sewn are:

Little girls dresses – Shorts for boys – Reusable hygiene products for women – Reusable diapers for babies – Back Packs with hygiene kits – Blankets and Quilts

Once the group is notified of missionaries travels, preparations are made to make up the items that are needed and that the missionaries can deliver.

In each garment sent is a scrap piece of material that has written on it “God loves you” in the language spoken in that country. 

Sewing 4 Souls has sewn garments for local area and community organizations such as Pregnancy Centers – City Missions – Methodist Distribution Centers as well as sent them to over 16 countries worldwide.
