Music ministry

The music ranges from traditional hymns to many of today's popular worship choruses and usually features a full choir and orchestra.

II Chronicles 5:13-14

13 in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the Lord saying, “He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting,” then the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

The music ministry, under the direction of Paulette Ellis, consists of 3 groups all working together as we rehearse on the same night:

Sanctuary Choir: Assists in leading the congregation in traditional and contemporary hymns along with singing special music each Sunday morning.

The Orchestra: Orchestra members consist of those in the music department who play traditional orchestral instruments. They accompany much of our congregational singing and also join with our other accompanist in playing preludes and offertory music.

The Worship Team: This is a small group of dedicated musicians who lead the congregational singing weekly.

Rehearsal Times: Wednesday nights.

Instrumentalists and Worship Team at 6:30pm
